I haven’t seen any of the Camouflaged Critters from the 3rd graders. If you have completed this activity, please send a picture of it to troe@lufkinisd.org. Once I get it, I will make a copy of it to share with everyone so that your fabulous work can be seen!
Click here to see the Food Chains created by some of our 4th grade GT students!
If you have finished your food chain and don’t see it here, send it to troe@lufkinisd.org.
This activity is for all our Brandon GT students. It’s a great way to review properties of matter, mixtures/solutions, change of state, and sedimentary rock formation. Follow the directions shown below being EXTRA careful with the hot water. The water can be hot from the faucet. It does not need to be boiling. Use what you have available and if you don’t have food coloring, don’t worry because it is not necessary. Click on the picture below to access the directions.
Take a picture of what happens and share with me as a comment on this page or on my email, troe@lufkinisd.org .
WOW! Who would have guessed that when we left for Spring Break that our return would be stalled by the Covid-19 virus? I have put together some things for you to do to keep you going in Science. I think you will enjoy them. They are fun and a bit challenging! Just what your brain needs right now. There is one for each grade level, but feel free to try any of them that you would like.
If you have any questions, please message me by commenting to this post. I will be available between 11:30-1:30 each day to help you.
Missing you!

I am very excited to be beginning the new school year! I love Science! My goal is to help all of my students learn ways to use their science content and skills in real world ways. The Brandon Elementary STEMM Lab is one of a kind in Lufkin ISD. We will focus on and integrate Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and Medicine throughout the school year.
Our next challenge is a quick and easy one. I just want to quickly remind you about some details of our Solar System. You have been working very hard on the challenges and I am so proud of you!
