Mrs. Savannah Tutt’s eighth grade GT English class journeyed to another world where kings ruled and knights jousted at the Renaissance Festival in Magnolia, Texas northwest of Houston. The students prepared their elaborate costumes complete with faux fur and jewels, and worked on their lines to perform at the festival. Some of the students entered the poetry contest, others the costume contest. The class has been preparing for this festival for well over a month to get their accents and period costumes just right. The Texas Renaissance Festival opens up for students on their 13th annual School Days, where students can enjoy stepping back in time to experience what it was like to live in a 16th Century European village.
