Congrats to our Brandon Bears that made the Superintendent’s Honor Roll! These students worked hard all year and were excited to celebrate with our very own superintendent, Mrs. Torres. Job well done!! Keep up the hard work!

Lufkin Chapter #382 Order of the Eastern Star and Lufkin Masonic Lodge #669 donated hygiene kits for every fifth grader at Brandon Elementary.  These kits included deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, timer, and floss.  These kits will be sent home this week with our students.  Pictured are Principal Pam McClendon accepting the donations from Maverick Murray, SPED paraprofessional at Brandon.  Mr. Murray is involved with the Lufkin Masonic Lodge and worked to get these items donated for our students.  He has served as a Past Master(Past president) of Lufkin Masonic Lodge #669 and is currently serving as Worthy Patron (male co-president) of Lufkin Chapter #382 Order of the Eastern Star.

We are so thankful for Mrs. Gabby!! She came to Brandon as our receptionist this spring and has jumped in head first. She always has a smile on her face, and we are blessed to have her as our newest Brandon Bear!!

Happy Administrative Assistant’s Day to our wonderful Mrs. Carlita!! She is the glue that holds us together and leaves us smiling as we end our day with afternoon announcements. Brandon is so very thankful for our Mrs. Carlita!! 

Congratulations to our AMAZING Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Kimberley Graham!! Her love for her students and passion for teaching is truly second to none. She always goes the extra mile for her students and brings joy to our campus with her big smile and kind heart!

A little rain can’t stop our Brandon Bears!!  It was a great day for our annual 5th grade Powder Puff Games!! Fun was had by all!!! Congrats to our 1st place team, The Mean Green Queens!! Great job to the cheerleaders for keeping the crowd and laughs going!!

Our annual Powder Puff Game has been moved to Tuesday, April 11th!! We can’t wait to see you there!!

Our annual Easter Egg Hunt with our kinder friends from Dunbar was “EGG”cellent!!! This is one of our favorite Spring events that we get to share with Dunbar kindergarten!!

Congratulations to Mrs. Barnett for being chosen as an Educator of Influence by one of our top 20 seniors and past Brandon Bear, Grant Ashby!! Mrs. Barnett was Grant’s 4th grade teacher! Go Bears!

Congratulations to our very own Mrs. Warden for being chosen as an Educator of Influence by one of our top 20 seniors and past Brandon Bear, Maury Spore!! Maury was in Mrs. Warden’s 4th grade class!!

A group of H-E-B representatives, including a photographer, videography team and H-E-Buddy mascot surprised Brandon Elementary third grade GT teacher Angela Duncan with an announcement that she is a finalist for the Excellence in Education Award. Brandon Elementary principal Pam McClendon led the group into Mrs. Duncan’s classroom filled with students. The H-E-B team brought in balloons, a tray of cookies and a giant check for $1,000 for Mrs. Duncan and $1,000 for her school.

Just a reminder that there will be no school for student’s Monday, February 20th. This will also be a staff workday. Thank you! 

101 Dalmatians premier’s next Thursday, February 23rd at 6:30 and Saturday, February 25th at 2:30!! Our students,  Ms. Brown and Ms. Marshall have worked extremely hard on this and we can’t wait to see this phenomenal musical performance!

Brandon Acts of Kindness Week will be February 13th through 17th! Each day is a different theme to celebrate and spread kindness throughout our school!! 

The Sweetheart Dance is Friday, February 17th from 6:00 to 7:30! $5 per couple.  Pictures (4×6) 1 for $3 and 2 for $5.

We have had top notch participation in our fundraising event! Thank you to all who sold so many boxes of chocolate. We need the money returned as soon as possible. We are anxious to reach that goal and purchase the new digital marquee.

Thanksgiving break will be here soon! We will have early release on Friday, November 18, 2022. We hope you have a safe and restful holiday break. Thanksgiving Break will be from November 19-27, 2022. We will return to school on November 28, 2022.
