Students all over the Brandon Elementary campus were engaged in “no tech,” “low tech” and “high tech” coding activities.
Mrs. Oglesby’s classes worked on Codeavengers-Coding crazy creatures and code.org, creating a flappy bird game.
Mrs. Usher’s and Mrs. Corley’s classes worked on Minecraft game designer with code.org.
Mrs. Odunuga invited students to BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) to use for coding on code.org.
Mrs. Winter’s classes played with code.org’s Star Wars Building a Galaxy with Code.
Ms. Self was a “Robot” that her students were able to code by using symbols. “It was quite funny.” Her students learned that they had to troubleshoot the code, when she got twisted up, and almost fell down.
