Welcome to Herty Primary! I am excited to begin my 3rd year as principal at Herty and my 18th year with Lufkin ISD. I am the proud wife to Denny and mother of two boys, Brett and Luke. Brett attends Lufkin High School and Luke attends Lufkin Middle School. Students are the purpose behind my career as a teacher, curriculum coach, and administrator.
Herty is home to Kindergarten through 2nd grade and the district’s PPCD program. Our caring staff is committed to creating daily experiences that provide opportunities for each child to reach their potential academically, socially, and emotionally. We also look to build strong, positive relationships with our community and families.
