The big idea for this topic is to let the students know that the word Organisms can be used  to replace  plants, animals, or both.  Plants and Animals have related life processes and structures that help them to survive in their environment.

We will be exploring and responding to the following questions to help us understand our topic better.

• What are living and non-living things?
• How do Plants reproduce?
• How can we explore Plant’s life cycle? Using Radish and Lima Beans as examples.
• How do Animals  reproduce?
• How can we explore Animal’s life cycle? Using Butterfly and beetle as examples.
• How do living things adapt to their environments?
• What are Heredity, Instinct, and Learned behavior?
