There will be no school on Monday, January 16, 2023 in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday. School will resume on Tuesday, January 17, 2023.

Congratulations to our Slack Power Up Club string project students! They did a wonderful job at their winter concert.

Our 4th Graders will be putting on a Christmas Musical on Thursday, December 15th at 1:30pm.

If you are looking for some great holiday family entertainment, here are some great upcoming events happening at Lufkin High School.

Our Christmas Holiday Break will begin on Friday, December 16th with early dismissal at 12:00. The break will be from December 16, 2022-January 5, 2023. Stay Safe and Happy Holidays!

Thanksgiving break will be here soon! We will have early release on Friday, November 18, 2022. We hope you have a safe and restful holiday break. Thanksgiving Break will be from November 19-27, 2022. We will return to school on November 28, 2022.

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Slack Elementary Library, November 7-11, 2022! The Book Fair will also be open during our Family Literacy Night on Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 5:30pm-7:00pm. Can't wait to see you there!
