Lufkin ISD Elementary Honor Society

The LISD Elementary Honor Society recognizes students for excellence in the areas of leadership, initiative, scholarship, and dependability.

Students currently enrolled in fourth and fifth grades are eligible for membership. Membership is criteria based and involves an application process. Students who meet the criteria for membership, as reviewed by faculty council, are invited to an induction ceremony along with current members.

The annual induction is held during the spring semester each year and the students’ families are encouraged to attend.  Members participate in organizational meetings and service/community project(s) during the school year.

The LISD Elementary Honor Society was established during the 2015-16 school year with the mission to assist students in developing essential leadership skills and recognizing the importance of service to school and community.
