8th Grade Formal

We are pleased to announce the 8th-grade end-of-year dance sponsored by the Lufkin Middle School 8th Grade Student
Council. The formal will take place Thursday, May 25th, in downtown Lufkin at The Grand. The time will be 7-10 pm. Please click here to read

LMS Choir awarded Lufkin Creative Grant

The students at Lufkin Middle School are buzzing with excitement after hearing that their school is one of the six recipients of Lufkin Creative Micro Grants totalling $8500.
During the spring, the students will volunteer and see four different performances at the Temple Theater with Angelina Arts Alliance. This will provide them with the chance to be a part of the experience and get a backstage look at how it all works!

Middle School All Region Band

Middle School All Region Band

For Middle School All Region Auditions, there is the chance to earn a spot in one of 3
bands: Honors Band (top band); Symphonic Band (2nd band); or Concert Band (3rd
band). We are so proud of all the students that worked hard, dedicated their time to
learn this music for the auditions, and pushed themselves to become better
musicians.

Christmas Food Drive

This year, LMS StuCo & CIS are partnering to host a Christmas Food Drive where teachers and students can collect canned goods in their homeroom classes (first core) December 5 – 9. We will be picking class winners who collect the most cans in their grade level and providing a reward to those classes for their work.
