The Lufkin High School Panther Marching Band scored first place at the first ever UIL State Military Marching Championship for the combined 5A/6A classification at the Pine Tree ISD Pirate Stadium on Wednesday night. There were eleven 5A/6A military bands that competed at the state contest. Pictured are drum majors Beth Tatum and Connor Ainsworth receiving the state trophy. Each student received a medal for their accomplishment. Congratulations to LHS Band Director George Little and the Panther Marching Band for making history!
