The artwork of two Lufkin High School students — Anika Mikalauskis and Sophia Carver — will be a part of the First Congressional District Art Contest and Exhibition that will hang in the Griffith Gallery at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches.

SFA professors will select two pieces of art from the exhibition to hang in the nation’s capitol for a year. Congressman Louie Gohmert is scheduled to attend a Dec. 2 reception at which the winners will be announced.
