Herty Primary held their annual Young Athletes Program. The Young Athletes Program is a precursor for the Special Olympics. This event is for students that are three years old through eight years old. These students/athletes learn the fundamentals setting them up for participation in the Special Olympics. Mark your calendars! Herty’s annual school carnival, Spring Fling, will be Thursday, March 28th from 5:30 to 7:00 pm! Come on out and enjoy a fun filled family evening playing games, winning snacks/drinks and prizes.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss! Herty students wrapped up the week by celebrating Dr. Seuss-style.

Teachers planned lots of fun activities based on the many, many books written by the favorite author. Mrs. Riggs dressed as the Cat in the Hat and read to the students. Not to be outdone, the cafeteria staff prepared green eggs and ham for lunch!
