Cinco De Mayo/Field Day 2019
Due to excessive amounts of rainfall recently, Herty Primary combined field day with Cinco De Mayo and celebrated with a modified schedule. Students seemed to have a great time. From a musical Hat Dance, to Pinata poking, to passing the peso and pepper games, concessions and a trip to the book fair ….. it was an eventful Friday at Herty Primary! Special thanks goes to Coach Jessica Williams and volunteers from Lufkin First Baptist Church!
End of Year Banquet

College Week at Herty Primary

Teacher of the Year – Kim Hamilton

Young Athletes Program 2019
Herty Primary held their annual Young Athletes Program. The Young Athletes Program is a precursor for the Special Olympics. This event is for students that are three years old through eight years old. These students/athletes learn the fundamentals setting them up for participation in the Special Olympics. Special thanks to all the volunteers from Lufkin Middle School, First Baptist Church, Lufkin ISD Special Education department, community leaders and parents!
