Car Rider Procedures
- Each morning beginning at 7:15 am, we will have staff stationed outside in the front circle to help unload your child from the car and get them safely to their area. In the morning, you will pull in the front circle in a single file line, stop at the first available slot, and drop your child off with the assigned staff member.
- After 7:45 a.m. you will need to park and escort your child to the front office.
- For traffic flow purposes, during pickup and drop off, we utilize two lanes as you enter the circle drive. The right hand lane is for our special needs students and buses. The left hand lane is for our general education students.
- If you would like to park, please bring your tag in with you to the front foyer and we will dismiss students through the office. If you do not have the tag, you will have to sign the student out with the receptionist.
- For general education pickup, you will come to the front circle using the left lane, remain in a single file line, and the first 5 cars will pull up to a station. If you are not one of the first 5 cars, please stop and wait at the stop sign. This will allow the special needs parents/buses to exit. As we load cars, we will tell you when it is safe for you to pull forward.
- Please display the car rider sign every time you pick up your child. Ask your child’s teacher for a replacement sign if this one gets lost.
- We must receive a written, dated note explaining any changes in your child’s normal pickup arrangements. Please try to have this taken care of when your child arrives at school in the morning. Calling the office needs to be reserved for emergencies only.
- Car riders will be released from class at 3:05 p.m.
- Due to traffic issues, all teachers are responsible for the safety of the students. They cannot have lengthy discussions with parents at this time. Please send a note, call the office, or email her to set up a conference if necessary.
- The use of cell phones is strictly prohibited in school zones.
- School Hours: 7:45 a.m. to 3:05 p.m.
We appreciate your patience and support!
