Welcome, Cowboys! Garrett Primary is Lufkin’s first Pre-K 4 Center for Excellence, serving almost 400 students. We are a student-focused, data-driven primary campus that strives to build the literacy, mathematical, and social/emotional foundations of our district’s young learners. We also offer bilingual learning programs. Classroom instruction is guided by district curriculum, built from the state guidelines. Our highly qualified and professional teaching staff continuously challenge and nurture our students.
We encourage our families and neighbors to take an active role in helping Garrett offer exceptional learning experiences for every child. We are confident that we can achieve our goals and provide a positive learning environment for all of our students with the help of a strong partnership with our parents and community.
I feel blessed to be given the opportunity to serve as the leader of such a wonderful staff, supportive community of parents, and an awesome group of 21st century learners! As principal of Garrett Primary, I intend to continue to build positive relationships, while creating and maintaining a safe, positive learning environment conducive to teaching and learning.
