Attendance and Behavior Drawing
Students with perfect attendance and no referrals from September 10th to October 4th will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a TV! One TV will be awarded to a student in each grade level. Stay present, stay positive, and you could be a winner!

Join us for an exciting football game filled with spirit and school pride. Bring your family and friends, and let’s support our team to victory!
Tickets: Only $3 per person
Seating: All guests are required to sit in the stands. Please avoid standing on fences or rails.
Student Policy: All students must be accompanied by an adult.
Parking: Enter from Tulane Dr. and park in the large lot in front of the main office.
Come out, bring your Panther pride, and enjoy the game!

Time: 7:30 am – 5:30 pm
Location: Competition Gym (Enter on Tulane Drive, entrance located by the flagpoles)
Important Information:
Online Registration: Must be completed through the Lufkin ISD website before schedules can be received.
Athletes: Please bring your physical. A trainer will be onsite to answer questions.
Shot Clinic: LISD will be hosting a shot clinic from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm for all 7th-grade students needing vaccinations. For more information and to sign up, click below.
Open House: August 5th, 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Get ready for an exciting adventure at our 6th Grade Cub Camp! This camp is designed to help incoming 6th graders transition smoothly into middle school life. Students will have the chance to explore their new school, meet their teachers, make new friends, and participate in fun activities that build confidence and team spirit.

🏀March Madness Winner🏀
A big shout out to our 7th graders for clinching the top spot in our March Madness Attendance Challenge! Throughout March, our grade levels faced off in exciting weekly attendance competitions. Thanks to their outstanding participation, our 7th graders enjoyed a fun popcorn snack and a special visit from the Angelina College Men’s Basketball Team.

Solar Eclipse
LMS students are need to submit their permission forms by , Thursday, 3/28. Please note that we cannot accept permission forms after this date. For students unable to return the form , an alternative arrangement has been made to view the eclipse via a live link in the classroom.

Mark your calendars! Lufkin Middle School’s 8th Grade Student Council is thrilled to sponsor the end-of-year dance—a night of celebration, memories, and fun. Join us in the heart of downtown Lufkin at The Grand, on Wednesday, May 22nd, from 7 to 10 PM, for this unforgettable formal event.
We’re committed to making this dance a cherished memory for all our students and kindly ask you to review and discuss the following guidelines with your child to ensure a wonderful experience for everyone.

🏆LMS and CIS Black History Month Contest Winners🏆
LMS and CIS hosted a Black History Month Essay and Art Contest. The winners received a $50 Visa Gift Card from our contest sponsors at the Angelina County Citizens Chamber of Commerce.

🚒LMS Touch-A-Truck Event🚛
Students had the opportunity to interact closely with a variety of vehicles ranging from a towering fire truck to sleek patrol cars, a SWAT vehicle, an ambulance and even a helicopter. The drivers/pilots were on hand to provide insight into the workings of each vehicle and to answer questions. The students got to climb aboard their favorite vehicles, honking horns, flashing lights and operating some controls under supervision. They were also able to meet our Angelina County Sheriff Tom Selman.
