The Lufkin ISD Learning & Innovation Showcase is a fun-filled event with astonishing, innovative activities delivered by students from every campus in the district. The event conveniently falls on the 2018 Digital Awareness Day on Thursday, February 22 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Lufkin High School. According to the Digital Awareness Day website, the event promotes the effective use of modern day tools to improve learning experiences in K-12 public schools. Digital Learning Day is not about the newest technology per se, it’s about utilizing innovative learning in the classroom. Innovative learning will take place on campuses throughout the district that day and then culminate at the Learning and Innovation Showcase that evening. Some of the activities that will take place are:
