“I am beginning my 29th year of coaching, and my 11th as a Head Coach. I have been blessed to play in 4 State Championship games, 2 as a Head Coach and 2 as the offensive coordinator, winning in 2012 and 2015. I am currently 102-27 as a head coach. I am from Bridgeport, Texas, graduated from Midwestern State University and have coached at Wichita Falls High School, Cedar Park High School and Barbers Hill prior to arriving in Lufkin. I have been married to my best friend Audra for 26 years and we have 2 children, Gunnar, 21 years old who is the Director of Football Operations and TE coach at The University of Texas Permian Basin and Carly, 18 years old who is about to start college at Texas State University for nursing.”

Presley, Lufkin graduate of 2023 attends Sam Houston State University any our son Paxton is a Pitcher for the Lufkin Panther Baseball Program. Its always a great day to be a Lufkin Panther!”

“A proud Lufkin High School graduate and former University of Houston football standout, I’ve built a life rooted in faith, family, and service. After a 17-year career in the manufacturing industry, I returned to Lufkin to follow my true passion—coaching and teaching. For the past 14 years, I’ve served as a history teacher and secondary coach at Lufkin High School, where I strive to mentor students both on and off the field. My wife, Delisha, and I have raised five children and enjoy spending time with our grandchildren and church community.”

“This is my 14 year in education, my 1st here at Lufkin ISD. I have a beautiful wife, Tara Fudge, and 2 boys, Justin Fudge (17 years old) and Nathan Fudge (9 years old). I have held a variety of positions over these 14 years. I have been a Head Boys’ Track Coach for 4 of those years, where I have been fortunate to win a District Championship all 4 of those years. I have been a part of an Area Championship 1 time, and an Area Runner-Up the other 3 years. As a Head Football Coach, I was able to lead the Chester Yellowjackets to a playoff berth 2 of the 3 years, growing from an 0-9 season before I took over to a 10-1 season with a playoff win in my final season. I am excited to be a part of the tradition-rich Lufkin Panther Football team and lead the Track team, and build on what has long been established.”

‘Hello, my name is Sterling Stewart, and I am beginning my 5th year at Lufkin. I have coached every position on defense here, and I am currently coaching the Defensive ends. I’ve been coaching football for 23 years. I attended high school at John Tyler High School and attended Austin College. I am married to Tiffany Stewart, and we have six children ( 5 boys and 1 princess). I’m extremely proud to be coaching at Lufkin and anticipate a bright future for the PANTHERS! “
