We are excited about the 2023-24 school year! From greeting our Class of 2024 Seniors, to welcoming our Class of 2027 Freshmen, and the grades in between, we can’t wait to see our Panther family!
The 2023-24 registration dates are listed above. Parents/guardians should complete the online forms prior to your student’s scheduled registration date. The online district registration forms can be found here. During the registration process, students will move from station to station. Depending on the crowd at the time of arrival, plan for the entire process to take approximately 30 minutes to one hour, with the exception of Freshman Orientation. For the incoming Class of 2027, students will need to arrive at 7:45 a.m. on July 28th, and will be dismissed after lunch at 1:05 p.m. During that time, freshmen will tour the campus, attend various sessions, receive a class schedule and learn about The LHS Panther Way. *Freshmen arriving late may not be admitted.
In addition to completing all online forms, students should plan to dress for an ID photo to be taken during registration. All LHS students are required to have a campus ID with them at all times during the school day and at extracurricular events. The initial cost of the ID is $5. Students should bring $5 cash with them to registration.
Students with a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance may also apply for a parking permit by bringing both with them to registration. The cost of a 2023-24 LHS parking permit is $10. Cash only. (For your convenience, an ATM is located in the foyer at Lufkin High School.)
All fines from the 2022-23 school year must be cleared before a student will be allowed to pick up his/her schedule for the upcoming year. Students who failed to turn in items such as a textbook, calculator, sports equipment or fine arts performance costumes, can expect to be asked to return the item(s) or pay a replacement cost, before being allowed to finish registration and pick up his/her class schedule.
