We want to stay connected, no matter how far or long we are apart, or the reason! Be sure to join and follow all of our groups to ensure you receive the most current information and school announcements.
In addition to following LISD and LHS on social media, each teacher has a Remind group, specific to their class periods. You can find the code by visiting your teacher’s webpage. Just click on the “Departments” tab from the Lufkin High School site, then choose the subject and from there, your own teacher.
Sponsors and coaches are using Remind to communicate practice changes, game updates and more!
And, new this week are two comprehensive Remind groups for LHS. Use the info in the graphic below to join the group for All LHS Students and/or the group for LHS Parents/Guardians. These two groups will only be used to communicate campus-wide information such as closures, Covid-19 alerts and other emergency info.
Finally, if your student has not yet joined his/her grade level Remind, please have them do so. As a parent, you may also join these groups to receive announcements specific to the grade level such as scholarship opportunities, testing updates, college visit field trips, and more.
You DO NOT have to download or use the Remind app to stay connected. Texting the provided codes to 81010 will sign you up to receive all announcements as text messages when information is shared from LHS through Remind. This is the easiest, and most convenient way to stay connected!
*Remember, you can leave a conversation from Remind at anytime by texting @leave in the reply to an announcement. This will keep you from receiving any more messages from that particular Remind group/class. To stop all Remind messages (for all groups you are enrolled in) and prevent further announcements from coming to your phone via text, simply text @stop as a reply to any Remind text.
