Two LHS students are headed to state in powerlifting, Carl Williams, Jr. who lifted a total of 1,600lbs (610lbs squat, 350lbs bench, 640lbs dead lift) and March Thomas Sr. who lifted a total of 1,500lbs (560lbs squat, 395lbs bench, 545lbs dead lift). The state meet will be in Abilene, Texas on March 24th.

Congratulations to March and Carl for their powerlifting efforts in Abilene at the state meet. Both boys finished in 9th place, within their own weight classes. Carl finished at 15 pounds over his personal best, and March lifted 55 pounds more than ever before. Way to go, guys!
