Lufkin High School’s Panther Band has spent the week gearing up for the 2017-18 school year with its annual band camp at the Pineywoods Encampment west of Corrigan.
The Panther Band is scheduled to conduct its fun “Snap Competition,” in which members of the different sections of the band compete against each other in music and marching on the turf of John Outlaw Memorial Field at Abe Martin Stadium, at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11. The public is invited to the event.
