On Tuesday, March 21st, Spring and class (group) pictures will be made. Please check your child’s backpack for photo packets that have went home.

On Thursday, March 30th, Herty Primary will have Spring Fling. Plan on coming out to the school from 5:30 til 7:30 pm for an evening of games, concessions and family fun!

On Friday, March 10th, Herty Primary will have early dismissal. Special Education classes dismiss at 10:45 am. General Education classes dismiss at 12:00 noon.

Lufkin ISD will be closed March 13 through March 17 for Spring Break. School resumes on Monday, March 20th.

Kindergarten graduation pictures will be made on Tuesday, March 7th, 2023. See your child’s backpack/folder for more information.

No school Monday, October 10th. All LISD campuses will observe Columbus Day.

Grandparent’s Day will be celebrated on Friday, September 9th. We’ll have some fun activities for our grandparents to enjoy with their grandchild(ren). Check your child’s backpack for information specific to his/her grade level.

Today is Speech Pathologist’s Day and we have the best ever …… Mrs. Jamie, we love you!!

All Lufkin ISD Schools will be closed Friday, April 15th and Monday, April 18th in observance of Easter.

Herty Primary enjoyed a night of families and fun at Spring Fling 2022. Kids played games, had faces and hair painted, played with their friends and ate concession stand food. It was a great evening …. the weather was just right and a good time had by all.

Monday, February 21, 2022, is a student holiday. LISD staff has professional development on this day.

Herty administrators surprised staff with some Valentines Day goodies. We enjoyed cupcakes, macarons and a candy bar. Yum!!!!

Lufkin ISD will celebrate and honor Martin Luther King, Jr. with a staff and student holiday on Monday, January 17th.

Herty Primary celebrates the 12 Days of Christmas so far by wearing jeans until Christmas and snacks from Herty PTK.

Lufkin ISD will be closed next week, November 22-26, 2021 for Thanksgiving. Classes will resume November 29, 2021.

LISD will have early dismissal on Friday, November 19th. Herty Primary will dismiss students at 12 Noon.
