We are off to a great start to the new school yearl!  We began working with exponents today and will soon begin learning about prime factorization and integers.  As noted in the Math Policy & Classroom Contract, math homework will be fairly routine Mondays through Thursdays.  Plus, we already have a few quizzes scheduled for our 2nd week.

May 3rd – last progress report goes home

May 4th – 6th grade Dance!  (Tickets are $3 at the door.)

May 14th – Math STAAR test

May 15th – Reading STAAR test

May 23rd – Conduct Reward trip to HiJinx (Cost is $15.)

April 6th – major exam corrections due (must attend morning tutorials to complete)

April 11th – Math Benchmark (a practice STAAR-like test, 4-hour maximum)

Last week, teachers sent home a form regarding the conduct requirements for the Spring Dance and for the end of the year Hijinx trip.  There are 2 places to sign & forms are due back by Friday, February 2nd. Conduct tracking for these 2 activities began Monday, January 26th.
