Advanced Academics Night is the perfect time to see students demonstrate what advanced academics is all about. On Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 6 p.m. at Lufkin High School, students of all ages will show off projects, activities, artwork, technology, experiments, and much more. This night is also the perfect time to take a sneak peak at what LISD programs are available for perspective students.
Parents of students 4K through 11th grade will have the opportunity to learn about the deadlines and entry process to a variety of programs. Among those programs will include Gifted & Talented and Dual Language, Lufkin Middle School STEM Prep, High School STEM Academy, Young Scholars, Early College High School, Advanced Placement, Dual Credit and more.
There will be breakout sessions to attend as well as a showcase highlighting student activities. Teachers and administrators will be on hand for any questions. Come see which program best fits your child’s academic needs. For more information, contact Pollianne Smith, Director of Advanced Academics, at 936-630-4295
