As of 9:45 a.m., Tuesday, January 16th, Lufkin ISD will delay school until 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 17th due to the forecasted inclement weather. Buses will run 2 hours later than the regular pick up time.
The Elementary UIL awards ceremony scheduled for tomorrow morning will be postponed.
Lufkin ISD is canceling school Tuesday, Jan. 16, due to the icy road conditions.

ALERT: Road conditions have deteriorated with the falling temps and minor accidents are being reported in several areas in several counties, including in Angelina County on Kurth Drive, US 59 North, US 69 South, FM 1194 in Hudson and the SL 287 flyover at US 59 South. Several slick spots reported on SL 287 in Lufkin. Reduce speed and drive to conditions. TxDOT Is responding and treating roadways as needed.
