STEM 4 students were recognized at the March board meeting who participated in the Regional Science and Engineering Fair held in Kilgore on Friday, March 1 and are advancing to state competition.  One student advanced to state in the individual competition and four team projects will be advancing that comprise of three students each. Students had to work on their projects outside of class and in addition to all of their extra-curricular activities. This is the first time Lufkin ISD has participated in the region fair.

 

The state competition will be held on March 29 and 30 at Texas A&M University. The students advancing are: Alishbah Khan, Anisha Rao, Sebastian Gonzales, Janet Mendoza, Rylie Latham and Katlyn Clark, Fernan Chong, Jake Garza, Cade Self, Whit Wesoloski and Alex Munlin.
