On Tuesday, December 12, 2023, Brookhollow Elementary 3rd grade students from the homerooms of Ashley Hankins, Melanie Lynch, Emily Thompson, and Melissa Valentino took a field trip to the Texas Forestry Museum and Grace Dunn Richardson Park in Lufkin.
At the Texas Forestry Museum, students learned about how the railroad was used to help develop the forestry industry, created butterflies from coffee filters and pipe cleaners, participated in a hands-on activity teaching kinetic and potential energy, and participated in imaginative play. After the museum, students rode the bus over to Grace Dunn Richardson park to play before heading back to campus.
We would like to send a BIG Brookhollow thank you to the Texas Forestry Museum for their hospitality and exceptional learning experience for our students. We’d like to extend another big thank you to our teachers and students for representing Brookhollow well on their day out in our community. They truly make Brookhollow SHINE BRIGHT!
