Mrs. Duncan: H-E-B Excellence to Education Award Recipient!
A group of H-E-B representatives, including a photographer, videography team and H-E-Buddy mascot surprised Brandon Elementary third grade GT teacher Angela Duncan with an announcement that she is a finalist for the Excellence in Education Award. Brandon Elementary principal Pam McClendon led the group into Mrs. Duncan’s classroom filled with students. The H-E-B team brought in balloons, a tray of cookies and a giant check for $1,000 for Mrs. Duncan and $1,000 for her school.
No School Monday: President’s Day

Brandon Elementary Presents: 101 Dalmatians!!
101 Dalmatians premier’s next Thursday, February 23rd at 6:30 and Saturday, February 25th at 2:30!! Our students, Ms. Brown and Ms. Marshall have worked extremely hard on this and we can’t wait to see this phenomenal musical performance!

Brandon Acts of Kindness Week will be February 13th through 17th! Each day is a different theme to celebrate and spread kindness throughout our school!!
Sweetheart Dance This FRIDAY, February 17th!!
The Sweetheart Dance is Friday, February 17th from 6:00 to 7:30! $5 per couple. Pictures (4×6) 1 for $3 and 2 for $5.
Fundraiser Money Due!
We have had top notch participation in our fundraising event! Thank you to all who sold so many boxes of chocolate. We need the money returned as soon as possible. We are anxious to reach that goal and purchase the new digital marquee.

Book Fair Challenge Accepted! Accomplished!
The Book Fair was a success, thanks to parents, grandparents, students and faculty! We always like seeing books in the hands of students, but we always have a side challenge, to raise money to buy books for the classrooms. This challenge was Silly String the Principal! We had a box for each of the three principals, Mrs. Liles, Mrs. McClendon, and Mrs. Walker. The box that had the most
money in it was “THE WINNER.”
Boston Market 2022
Welcome to Colonial Boston! The Boston Market is a long time Brandon tradition for the 5th grade GT students. First they have a drawing to see what profession from the 1700s they will study. Once they find out if they are a blacksmith or a fur trader, or any number of professions, they immersed themselves in learning all about it, and transporting back to the past.

It’s That Time Again! JACKETS!!
As the cooler temperatures arrive, the lost and found grows full of jackets! Please put your child’s name in his or her jacket. Also, ask them every day to check the cafeteria for their jacket, if you notice that one is missing. We have A LOT!!!

The Brandon Bear Broadcast (BBB) is up and running! Episode number four had so much news for the month of October, that it was exciting to broadcast the information on the website.

Red Ribbon Week 2022
Please encourage your child to participate in Red Ribbon Week, and have conversations about the reason behind Red Ribbon Week.
We will also have our Book Character Parade on Friday, October 28th. Students will be able to change out of their costumes and put on their Panther/purple shirt.
