Students and teachers invited friends and family members, who served in the military, to a special program on Veterans Day, 11-11-22. We honored our veterans, as they sat on the stage, and they were able to see the entire student body.
Mrs. McClendon welcomed all guests.

Reveille was played by bugler, Stacy Perkins.

Our Girl Scouts led a flag processional, then we pledged to both the American and Texas Flags.

There was a student led invocation.

We surprised parents and veterans as we presented the Military A to Z Memories and Thankfulness written by J. Martin. For each letter of the alphabet a student popped up in succession, to give a meaning related to the military. They did a great job. Some sounded like drill sergeants. That should have brought back some memories.

The 3rd graders presented our veterans with 2 songs, “Because of You” and “Sacrifices Made.” As the students waved flags.

The entire student body sang the Armed Forces Medley, as they waved flags.

The Brandon Honor Choir sang the “National Anthem.” (Students waved flags.)

Our own Mrs. Corley read an explanation of “Taps”, then bugler, Stacey Perkins played “Taps”. (The students waved the flags)

Mrs. McClendon thanked all for coming, to conclude a wonderful program.

Thank you to all veterans and parents who joined us.
