Spring Rain Doesn’t Slow Us Down!

DUE TO RAIN……

No way we are letting a little storm get in the way of our egg hunt!  We hunted for eggs inside our room!

Field Day was postponed from Friday to the next Monday.  We had perfect weather on Monday!

STEM from Lufkin Middle School

STEM students from Lufkin Middle School came to help our students learn about Engineering.  Our challenge was to build a house out of straws, tape and 2 rubber bands.  They had such a good time.  I love watching students teaching students!

March Winds are Blowing and Bringing Us Spring!

March 2nd was a busy day.

We had Texas Independence Day,  Read Across America, and Dr. Seuss’ Birthday.

READ ACROSS AMERICA

The students love “Flashlight Reading”.  We turn off the overhead lights and read with lamps and flashlights.  I try to make reading a fun and relaxing experience so they will continue to read for a lifetime.

DR. SEUSS’ BIRTHDAY

It’s always fun to celebrate Dr. Seuss no matter how old we are!

It’s Beginning To Look a Lot Like Christmas…..

Meet Jolly our classroom elf.  In his first visit,  he brought us a QR Code Game that gave us clues about how he was going to decorate our tree.  After gathering all the clues, our class predicted it would be a snowman.  As you can see we  were correct!!  If you look closely, you can see Jolly sitting on the bookshelf.

THE LIFE OF JOLLY………

It looks like our class elf Jolly has found a friend! Is there anyone looking for the Gingerbread Man?
